Ahamada, who is a France youth international, will give Crystal Palace more competition and depth in the middle of the park if they can get the deal over the line. He has been a key player for Stuttgart this term and has made 17 appearances in the league.

The Eagles are also poised to win the race for St Mirren midfielder Dylan Reid, according to a report by Football Insider. The 17-year-old is being tipped for a bright future in the game and has played five times for the Buddies in this campaign. He has also held talks with Celtic but is now heading to London instead.

In other Crystal Palace news, striker Luke Plange is heading to Lincoln City on loan, as per reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon. League One pair Charlton Athletic and Barnsley were also said to be keen on the former Derby County man.
