Manager Patrick Vieira is going through his toughest period since taking up the job from Roy Hodgson in the summer of 2021, and his players need to show they’re still with him with growing concerns over recent performance.

Brighton though are flying in the league and Roberto De Zerbi side are chasing a European spot next season and have overwhelmingly exceeded expectations so far.

The Seagulls thought they lost Adam Webster when he was forced off in the 88th minute against Leeds United, but he’s back in training and set to be involved against the Eagles, the former Bristol defender is one of the unsung hero’s of the team.

Another boost for Brighton is that their experienced midfielder Adam Lallana has signed a fresh deal at the club despite carrying a hamstring injury that might keep him out till next season. He signed a new deal to remain at the Amex till the summer of 2024.

His manager De Zerbi, says he’s always wanted the former Liverpool man to extend his stay and remain at the club.

The Italian manager told reporters:  “I am absolutely delighted for Adam, it is an honour for me and the club to continue working with him.”

The Seagull are enjoying their best Premier League season ever, sitting seventh on the league table, 12 massive point better than rivals Crystal Palace.

Brighton have failed to win each of their last seven encounters with Palace, including five draws, but having won four of their last five matches at the Amex, De Zerbi and co will be confident of success.
