Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea star Christian Pulisic.

The Blues are said to be ‘open to loan offers’ for the United States international as he seeks regular game-time ahead of the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has made just 22 Premier League starts during Thomas Tuchel’s 18-month reign at Stamford Bridge and saw his route into the starting eleven further hindered by the arrival of Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling this summer.

Speaking in the aftermath of the completion of that deal, Pulisic told ESPN: “That’s just life at a big club.

“We have great quality and Raheem we’re really excited about it. The beautiful thing about being at a club like this is the competition every single day. We all thrive competing with each other in training. It’s just another great addition to the team and it doesn’t change a whole lot.

“I’m still going to have to play hard and enter my position just like I did before. Nothing crazy. This is Chelsea. This is what this is, what you sign up for and this is the kind of club it is with the calibre of players that we have.”

Newcastle United, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Leeds United are all said to have an interest in Pulisic - but a surprise new contender has emerged in the last 24 hours.

The Athletic have reported Erik ten Hag is keen to complete a season-long loan deal for the 23-year-old and Pulisic is said to be open to the possibility of a move to Old Trafford.

Chelsea maintain an interest in Everton winger Anthony Gordon and would be open to allowing Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech to leave the club as Tuchel looks to refresh his attacking options before the window closes next month.
