Chelsea will be able to call on striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek tonight, after they both trained well this week.

Manager Graham Potter has been desperately unlucky since taking over the side in September, as at last week, he had as many as 10 players out injured including top scorer of the season so far Raheem Sterling and best player Reece James.

There is no hiding from the fact that the injuries have played a part in the results with the Blues having two wins in their last eight games in all competitions.

They were very poor against Manchester City in the FA Cup and will have to improve drastically if they are to take all three points against Fulham later tonight.

There seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel though with the signing of Portuguese sensational Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid, who will likely make his debut at some point tonight.

Graham Potter needs bodies and players who will buy into his ideas and someone like Felix who arrives with a point to prove will likely be the engine they need to get going again.

Aubameyang was not in the team against Manchester City in the FA but he is likely to be back  on the bench, he has a track record of scoring goals even though he’s not quite done it for Chelsea since signing in the summer.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek hasn’t played since the defeat to Newcastle just before the World Cup break, but he was one of the players that could play in a variety of roles and his return to fitness would allow the manager the luxury of trying something new as he can play in multiple situations.

Vialli plan for Sunday

Chelsea will turn attention to the home Premier League game against Crystal Palace once the game is over where fans, current players and ex-players will all pay their respect to Gianluca Vialli who passed away aged 58.

Vialli won the FA Cup, League Cup and Cup Winners’ Cup while finishing his prestigious playing career at Chelsea and is one of the true giants who formed the foundation for the modern Chelsea team.
