Chelsea are to head to local rivals Fulham in the latest round of fixtures in the Premier League. Fulham are currently defying all expectations in the league this year and currently sit seventh.

Meanwhile, it’s been a disastrous season for Chelsea this year, with the side sitting 10th in the league. This season has been full of disruption, with the club sacking Thomas Tuchel in September, replacing him with Graham Potter.

The two sides are in very different form, with Chelsea coming into this without a win in three and one win post-World Cup. Their last loss came in the FA Cup, as Manchester City defeated them for the second time in three days.

Fulham find themselves in scintillating form. The Cottagers fended off a spirited Hull side to win 2-0 in the FA Cup, and have won their last four enjoying wins since Boxing Day against Southampton, Crystal Palace and Leicester.

A win is much needed for Chelsea, who could leapfrog their upcoming opponents with a win. It is a win that Potter is in need of, with recent results putting the manager under pressure. It’s a great time to play the Blues, however, who are plagued with injuries.

When does Fulham v Chelsea kick off?

Fulham v Chelsea will kick off at 8pm on Thursday, January 12 and the game will be played at Craven Cottage.
