Chelsea’s predicted team ahead of their Europa Conferenc League second leg play-off in Switzerland.

Chelsea are looking to continue what has been a positive week, which has seen them win back-to-back games and put themselves in a strong position to secure Europa Conference League football. Over the weekend, Chelsea showed glimpses of what they could become after thumping Aston Villa 6-2.

The attacking play highlighted the talent on display, with Noni Madueke scoring his first career hat-trick at Stamford Bridge. The expectation now is that they will build on their 2-0 win against Swiss Cup winners Servette.

Servette threatened for large parts of the first game but were undone by a Christopher Nkunku penalty and a powerful finish from Noni Madueke in what was generally a quiet display from Enzo Maresca’s team.

Since then, João Félix has made his debut and scored a goal. However, he did not join in time to be registered for the competition, so he is likely to be one of those watching from the stands or staying back at Cobham this week.

There is also a big decision to make about striker Nicolas Jackson, who scored at the weekend, but Marc Guiu, who missed a massive chance in the first leg, will be hoping to get the chance to continue to grow despite Chelsea being linked to other strikers.

If they can secure a win away to confirm their group stage participation and follow it up with a victory in the league at the weekend, it would mark an almost perfect start to life under manager Enzo Maresca, who has the daunting task of pleasing Chelsea fans, getting them back to winning the league and the Conference League, all while playing attractive football.

Below is the team we anticipate he might field for the game on Thursday night:

Chelsea predicted XI: Jorgensen, Tosin, Badiashile, Veiga, Disasi, Enzo, Dewsbury-Hall, Caicedo, Palmer, Neto, Madueke
