Fernandez has been given permission to undergo a medical in Portugal, as per a report by the Daily Mail. Chelsea are said to be ‘hopeful’ of getting the transfer completed this evening.

Structure of the deal
As per Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol (see tweet below), Chelsea want to pay the fee over the course of six installments over the course of five years. However, his current club want want the money in three payments in two years meaning there is still some wiggle room needed in this one.
