Chelsea star offered last-gasp transfer opportunity as Premier League club 'submit deal sheet'
Chelsea striker Armando Broja is set to get one last chance to secure a move away from the Stamford Bridge despite the summer deadline having passed. The striker has been told he can leave the Blues having not made the cut under Enzo Maresca.
Broja was expected to kick on under Mauricio Pochettino last season but ultimately suffered a serious injury and struggled to make it into the Argentine’s plans. A loan move to Fulham followed, and the striker struggled for goals, failing to net in the Premier League.

Broja was expected to join newly promoted Ipswich Town on deadline day, but a deal fell through in the final hours, with the Tractor Boys also failing to get a deal for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson over the line. But there is still hope for Broja as he looks to avoid becoming a permanent fixture of Maresca’s dreaded ‘bomb squad’, which is a group of unwanted players who are training separately from the main squad.
According to Sky Sports, Premier League side Everton, who have struggled on the transfer front this summer amid financial issues, have submitted a deal sheet to the Premier League to get extra time to push through a deal for Broja. The report suggests it will be a loan deal with an option to buy worth £30million. That option is not believed to be mandatory, nor will it become mandatory with clauses.
Chelsea will be relieved if they can strike a deal for Broja, keen to avoid having unhappy players around the club, with the striker not likely to feature in Maresca’s squads. Meanwhile, the Toffees have made just four paid-for signings and have conceded seven goals in their first two Premier League games this season, scoring none.
Broja is under contract at Chelsea until 2028. He has scored two goals in 26 league appearances for the club.
