Chelsea put together a frantic summer transfer window.

Chelsea had key holes to fill at the back and up top this summer amid the departures of the likes of Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku.

Here we round up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.
Fofana opens up on move
Chelsea’s signing of Wesley Fofana was a complicated one.
Fofana ended up joining the Blues on a deal worth a reported £72million, but the deal was drawn out due to an unusual medical.
According to L’Equipe via SportWitness, the centre-back’s medical took place in New York due to Chelsea wanting a doctor from the Lakers to oversee the process.

Speaking about the move, Fofana told L’Equipe: “I told myself that I was going to realise one of my dreams: to play in one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“I chose with my family and my agents to 100% go there. They managed without any stress and explained the steps to me clearly, and even the not so nice moments where the club was going to shout at me a bit.”
Gbardiol interest
Chelsea are already said to be lining up a target ready for January.

The report claims the Blues could return with a fresh bid in January as they continue to look for a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva.
Though, a deal won’t be easy to pull off given Gbardiol has recently signed a new long-term deal.
