The player ratings from Chelsea’s first draw of the campaign.

Eberechi Eze scored a brilliant second-half goal to cancel out Nicolas Jackson's first-half strike and earn Crystal Palace their first point of the season. The 1-1 draw means Chelsea are still waiting for their first league win at home going into the first international break of the season.

Chelsea were the better side in the first half, with Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer both coming close to getting the all-important second goal that would have put the game to bed. However, in the end, they were made to pay for their wastefulness.

Here is how we rated the Chelsea players:

Robert Sanchez - 5 Didn't have much to do in the first half. Was beaten by a brilliant strike from Eze. His distribution was good. But got away with one when he mishandled a strike, luckily it sailed out wide.

Levi Colwill - 5 Calm and very assured, even though he was part of a Chelsea side that couldn’t keep a clean sheet. Should have scored a free header in the second half.

Wesley Fofana - 5 Booked for a reckless challenge on Mateta in the first half. He was alert and always first to make a challenge.

Marc Cucurella - 5 A few over-hit passes in the first half. Took care of his man, even if he didn’t contribute going forward as much as he would have liked.

Malo Gusto - 6 Stepped into midfield to add numbers and defended excellently when required. It will be interesting to see what happens when James returns. Looked like he picked up an injury.

Enzo Fernandez - 5 Bright when his passes connected, but didn’t look great when chasing down his man. Also had a tendency to overhit his passes.

Moises Caicedo - 5 Brilliant first half but quiet in the second. Needed help when Palace loaded the midfield.

Cole Palmer - 6 Provided the assist for Nicolas Jackson's goal. Tested Henderson with a well-hit free-kick but drifted in and out of the game.

Pedro Neto - 4 Quiet game.

Nicolas Jackson - 6 Took his goal well. Worked incredibly hard off the ball in the first half. But missed two chances late on to get the winner.

Noni Madueke - 7 Playing with a lot of confidence. Forced a great save from the Palace goalkeeper in the first half.

Joao Felix Didn’t influence the game as much as he or Chelsea fans would have hoped.

Christopher Nkunku - 5

Looked likely when he came but couldn't find the final ball.

Mykhailo Mudryk- 5

Lively without an end product.
