Shota Arveladze’s side have been busy this summer and will be looking to give the Blues’ youngsters plenty of game time in East Yorkshire.

Chelsea aces

Chelsea signed Simons back in 2016 from fellow London club Brentford and he has since been a regular at various youth levels for the Premier League giants.

He has made one senior appearance to date and that came in a Carabao Cup against his former club the Bees at the Brentford Community Stadium back in December 2021.

The midfielder has also represented England from U15s level up to U19s.

Vale has enjoyed more first-team minutes so far in his career and has penned a new three-year contract at Stamford Bridge before heading out the exit door to Hull.

The attacking midfielder, who started out in the academy at Fulham, joined Chelsea in 2016 as well and made his debut on the same night as Simons.

He has since gone on to make five appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s side and won the Academy Player of the Year for 2022.

Both Vale and Simons could play their first minutes for the Tigers this weekend as they take on Sheffield United at home.

Chelsea are in action against West Ham United on Saturday at home as they look to bounce back from their loss at Southampton last time out.
