This summer promises to be a pivotal one for Chelsea.

With new owners at the helm, and with no silverware to speak of last season, it is widely expected that the Blues will aim to make their mark in the transfer market over the coming weeks and months.

As well as a number of high-profile names being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, several familiar faces are being touted for potential exits too, including Romelu Lukaku, who looks set to head back to Inter Milan after an underwhelming return to West London last year.

But with so much speculation doing the rounds, it can be difficult to keep up with all of the latest rumours involving Thomas Tuchel’s side.

With that in mind, here is today’s Chelsea transfer news...

Chelsea plot Antony raid

Chelsea are among the clubs who have recently held talks with reported Manchester United target Antony, according to 90min.

The Ajax winger has emerged as a key target for incoming Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, and has reportedly voiced his desire to seal a move away from Amsterdam this summer.

But it is claimed that representatives from Stamford Bridge met with the player’s agents during a recent visit to the UK.

90min suggest that the Blues have been monitoring the Brazilian’s situation as part of their ongoing search for attacking reinforcements, with Manchester City star Raheem Sterling and Barcelona contract rebel Ousmane Dembele also targets.

Blues could force deal for Sosa

VfB Stuttgart ‘would have to’ accept an offer from Chelsea for defender Borna Sosa, should one arrive this summer.

According to German outlet Heidenheimer Zeitung, the Bundesliga side may be forced into selling the left-back if a bid of around £21.5 million was tabled.

The Blues are said to be keen on securing a deal for the player, although it is also understood that no concrete offer has been lodged just yet.

Not only are Stuttgart understood to need money for their own recruitment drive this summer, but it is also claimed that they have assured the full-back that he will be allowed to leave if a suitable bid comes in for him.
