Chelsea expected starting XI against Brentford: Big Kante and Werner decisions made

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has some big decisions to make in his starting XI against Brentford.

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side have handled the issues surrounding the club and its sale brilliantly, and will take on Brentford hoping for their seventh consecutive league win.

Chelsea’s players were dominant and progressive during the international break, with Kai Havertz and Timo Werner finding the net.

The Blues will now hope that their form in the final stretch matches last season’s, where they went on to win the Champions League.

There is also the big Champions League quarter-final game against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Given that Chelsea are out of the Premier League title challenge, they will try to put a proper defence on their Champions League title.

But on Saturday, entire goal will be to try and get the best result to go into the game against Real Madrid in good shape.

For Brentford, the game provides another opportunity to try and get many points that will go a long way in preserving their Premier League status.

But their task is herculean, given that Chelsea have not lost at home in the last 17 league games.

Only Liverpool have a more impregnable home record than the European champions.

After a storming start to the season, Thomas Frank’s side have struggled to keep clean sheets but they are still 15th in the league table.

A couple of wins will go a long way and keep Premier League football at the Brentford Community Stadium.
