Chelsea agree stunning seven-year deal to seal ninth summer signing as spending hits £115m

Chelsea have agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid to sign young striker Samu Omorodion, LondonWorld can confirm. The striker is now expected to fly into London later this week to complete his medical ahead of signing a seven-year deal with the west London club.
The deal is completely separate from the one expected to take Conor Gallagher to Madrid next week. LondonWorld has been told that Gallagher has already said his goodbyes to the staff at Cobham and has accepted his fate.

Atletico Madrid are investing heavily in their attack and have reportedly also agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Julian Alvarez in a deal worth around £81.5 million, according to the BBC.
Last summer, Chelsea sold 11 players, including top players like N'Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy, as they desperately tried to bring down the wage bill and reduce the number of players they have. However, this summer they have already brought in eight players, with Omorodion set to be the ninth.
In total, Chelsea have spent about £115 million on midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, and Omari Kellyman, plus goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, defenders Tosin Adarabioyo and Caleb Wiley, winger Estevao Willian, and striker Marc Guiu.

Last season, they finished sixth in the league, and the expectation is that they will at least finish in a Champions League spot in the coming campaign.
