Andoni Iraola has said: “Marcos' injury is a surgery. When you have a muscle injury, and they take the decision to go to the surgeon, it’s because it’s a big one. It’s his quad, but in the end 3-4 months normally is what it takes... it’s difficult to be less than this.”
Julian Araujo - Out
Iraola said of Araujo;’s hamstring issue: “The results of an MRI scan determined surgery would be the best course of action. The club's performance and medicine staff will now support Julian through a comprehensive rehab process over the coming months.”
Alex Scott - Out
Scott is expected to remain out until later this month. Iraola has said: “He trained [after Arsenal], but after training, he was feeling pain. He went [for] the MRI, and we could see a meniscus [tear]. The doctors decided [it] could be repaired. [It will be] definitely more than six weeks, but I don’t know how much.”
Adam Smith - Out
Smith is not expected to be involved. Iraola has said: “I don't have exactly when he will come back. It's true that we have some players already going outside and training [on] their own. Like Adam (Smith), (Marcus) Tavernier], (Luis) Sinisterra.”
Luis Sinisterra - Out
The same applies as above for Sinisterra.
Marcus Tavernier - Out
Tavernier is also included in that Iraola update.
