Hull City boss Liam Rosenior has denied that they have made an offer for Brentford winger Keane Lewis-Potter. There has been speculation this week that the Tigers have tried to lure the 21-year-old back to East Yorkshire on loan in this transfer window.

He made the move to the Gtech Community Stadium from his hometown club last summer but has struggled for regular game time with Thomas Frank’s side so far. However, he will not be heading back to the MKM Stadium before the deadline on Tuesday.

Speaking after Hull’s 3-0 win over QPR on Saturday, Rosenior poured cold water on the rumours and told BBC Humberside Sport:

“Keane’s a very, very good player but he’s not somebody who is going to be coming here or that we’ve made an offer for. We’re always looking (for players), I always want to improve the group.”

Lewis-Potter broke into the Tigers’ first-team during the 2019/20 season and went on to make 122 appearances in all competitions, firing 30 goals. Brentford lured him to the Premier League in July and he penned a six-year deal with the London club. He has since played 12 times in all competitions for the Bees and has scored once.

In other news, Sunderland striker Ross Stewart, who has been linked with Brentford, has suffered a serious injury this weekend during the Black Cats’ FA Cup clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage. It is yet to be known how long he could be out of action for.
