Brentford’s season is getting better and better amid a hugely impressive start to the season from the Bees.

Thomas Frank’s men are now in ninth place following a win over Liverpool, adding to a draw with Tottenham and a win over Manchester City this season. Brentford look like serious contenders for a top-half finish this season, but there is still plenty of time to go, and Frank may feel he needs to add a little more strength to continue this impressive campaign.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Brentford.

Schade signing incoming

Brentford look set to complete the signing of Freiburg star Kevin Schade.

According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Schade had already touched down in England, and an announcement is expected on Wednesday. He tweeted: “News #Schade: Announcement this afternoon! Player arrived Brentford last night. One of the fast players in the Bundesliga with the highest bouncing power.”

Schade will provide a much-needed alternative for Ivan Toney as Frank adds depth to his front-line, something that became much more important following Toney’s recent injury absence, even if the English striker’s injury is not as bad as first feared.

Pressley exit

Elsewhere, Brentford are set to offload youngster Aaron Pressley.

Pressley is not likely to get game time for the Bees’ first-team this season, and he will now head out on loan until the end of the season. That’s according to Football Insider, who say Pressley has agreed to join Accrington Stanley on loan.

Pressley spent last season with AFC Wimbledon, but his time there was scuppered by a hamstring injury. He will now look to prove himself with Stanley, it seems, and Brentford will want to see some development as Pressley enters an important stage in his career.
