It has been a quiet January transfer window at Brentford and they have only signed attacker Kevin Schade from Eintracht Frankfurt so far. They have the chance to do some more business before the deadline. Here is a look at what is happening at the Gtech Community Stadium...

Incomings?

There is no doubt that Brentford could do with some competition and depth up front for Ivan Toney. Sunderland’s Ross Stewart has been on their radar but a move is now ruled out as he is injured for the rest of the season.

The Bees were linked with Tottenham Hotspur right-back Djed Spence. However, he has made a loan move over to France to link up with Rennes.

Thomas Frank’s side are reportedly keen on Bodo/Glimt midfielder Hugo Vetlesen according to reporter Phil Cadden on Twitter (see below). Stuttgart are also said to be in the frame for his signature.

Midfield is an area where there could be movement. According to Foot Mercato, the London club are admirers of Ferencváros midfielder Aïssa Laïdouni. Sampdoria, Stuttgart, Toulouse and Union Berlin have also been mentioned as potential suitors.

Outgoings?

Sergi Canos has completed a loan switch to Olympiacos. He will spend the rest of this campaign in Greece after seeing his game time dry up.

Keane Lewis-Potter is believed to be on the radar of his former club Hull City. However, their boss Liam Rosenior denied last weekend on BBC Humberside Sport that an approach had been made and he will stick around.

It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that more players could head out the exit door on loan this evening. Fin Stevens, Daniel Oyegoke and Yehor Yarmolyuk may all benefit from first-team football elsewhere until the summer.
