VAR is once again being called into question with Premier League sides soon to vote on whether it should be abolished following a proposal by Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Premier League board, however, is due to be opposed to the proposal. Premier League stats earlier this season have showed correct decisions had increased from 82 percent to 96 percent under VAR. However, this has not stopped mistakes slipping through, with Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon the latest to criticise the technology, and lengthy time needed for checks continuing to cause frustration in the stands.
While we head into the final match of the Premier League 2023/24 season, with the vote on VAR looming, here is how the table could look without taking VAR decision into consideration...
