Arsenal are now preparing for Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup clash with Newcastle United at St James’ Park with deadline day all done. The Gunners are two goals down in this fixture, and they will need to turn around that scoreline if they want to book a Wembley final.
Mikel Arteta’s men thrashed Manchester City and scored five goals over the weekend, so they will head North with plenty of belief. Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding the two clubs heading into the game.

The striker is out for the season after suffering an ACL injury.
Bukayo Saka - Out
Saka is out for some time with a hamstring issue. Arteta has said: “No, that's not going to change [three months]. It's within the process. He's doing really well; he's feeling better day by day, but we have to respect the healing process... he has a lot of stages to go through in his rehab.”
Ben White - Out
White is set to return from his long knee injury layoff in mid-February. Arteta has said: “He hasn't trained with the team yet, but I think he's very close to doing that. He still needs to tick a few boxes in the next two or three days. If that's going well and smoothly, I think he'll be with us pretty soon.”
Takehiro Tomiyasu - Out
The same applies for Tomiyasu, with Arteta saying: “Tomi has done some stuff on the pitch, but we have to see. It has been a long-term injury, and we have to see how quick he progresses and how he reacts.”
