Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips continues to be linked with a move away from Elland Road ahead of the summer.

The England international has been at the forefront of the Whites’ success over recent years, while also impressing with England.

The 26-year-old is among the most coveted players in his position with a number of clubs linked with a move for him ahead of this summer.

That was also the case last year, but Phillips wound up staying put, still under contract until 2024.

Leeds fans will be hoping that is the case this summer, but it’s claimed Arsenal, Manchester United and Aston Villa, in particular, are keen on a move.

And Phillips has already answered questions about a possible departure, giving two separate answers with very different vibes.

Back in December, he said: “I speak to the owner regularly. I want a new contract. I’m very happy here,” he said.

“I just think it’s mental, but I’m not gonna say that I’m not worth £60m!”

But since then, in an interview with GQ, he made it pretty clear that he wants to be involved in the biggest games, something Leeds have gotten further away from achieving this season.

“I want to be a player that’s got a lot of games to his name, but I want them to be games that mean something,” he said.

“I want to play in the Europa League and the Champions League. But I want to do that, ideally, with Leeds. And the way that we’re heading, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t...”

Read into those quotes what you will, but it’s clear an interesting summer awaits Phillips, with Leeds likely to receive offers between now and the start of next season.
