All the latest transfer news surrounding Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham as international tournaments come to an end.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham will all be stepping up their transfer efforts now that Euro 2024 and Copa América are wrapped up. Chelsea have already done deals aplenty, with more brought in through transfer fees than spent so far, but that is likely to change with new arrivals.

Spurs have made a couple of smart signings, while the Gunners have been slow with their summer business apart from making David Raya’s deal permanent. As clubs push to improve their squads, we have rounded up the latest news from ‘insider’ Fabrizio Romano.

Williams latest

Barcelona are said to be zeroing in on Euro 2024 star and reported Arsenal and Chelsea target Nico Williams now that the Euros have come to an end and Spain have been crowned champions.

Romano tweeted: “Barcelona are prepared to advance in talks with Nico Williams' camp starting from this week, as salary structure is key factor to move forward. Hansi Flick has already approved Nico as top target for this summer. Timing is key as Premier League clubs are also there.”

Spurs ‘targets’

Tottenham are said to be interested in both Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto this summer as they look to improve their attack. Romano has said on the reports on his Playback show: “There is appreciation from Spurs for Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace.”

He added: “With all of the other options for Tottenham, we always mention here Pedro Neto, this is absolutely confirmed. So Tottenham like Eze and like Pedro Neto, and they have decided how much they want to spend in that position. So there is internal conversation, but they will bring in one more player in that position for sure – one more offensive player.”

Lukaku blow

Chelsea have missed out on a windfall from Romelu Lukaku for now, with AC Milan deciding to sign former Blues striker and now Euro 2024 champion Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid instead.

“Zlatan Ibrahimović has been pushing a lot to bring Álvaro Morata to AC Milan as favourite option,” Romano tweeted. “Negotiations for other strikers linked like Lukaku were never advanced as Milan board, especially Ibrahimovic, strongly wanted Morata. Several calls took place.”

He added: “Álvaro Morata to AC Milan, here we go soon! AC Milan, informing Atlético of plan to trigger €13m release clause. Morata has verbally agreed on four year deal at Milan, leaving Atlético Madrid after difficult time in Spain. Formal steps and medical to follow this week.”

Lukaku is said to prefer a move to Napoli, but that deal is likely to wait until Victor Osimhen’s future is decided.
