Arsenal are set to pocket a transfer windfall in the form of Nuno Tavares, who is headed for pastures new after struggling over recent years. Romano has tweeted: “Nuno Tavares to Lazio, here we go! Verbal agreement on 5 year contract just reached, deal until June 2029.
“Nuno will travel this weekend for medical if all goes to plan with formal documents. Arsenal receive €9m, loan with mandatory buy clause + sell-on clause.”
Tavares recently said of his future: “Regardless of what happens in the future, I will always do my best, as I have done in all pre-seasons, to have a place at the club. I always try to do my work in the best way. Then it's up to the club to decide whether I'm a valid option or not.” Despite that, it looks as though he will be trying to prove himself elsewhere this summer.
Lokonga to follow suit
Midfielder Albert Sambi-Lokonga is also set to leave the Emirates Stadium after struggling to prove himself to Mikel Arteta. The midfielder spent last season on loan with Luton Town and will now depart for good.

Lokonga recently said of his future: “For me, I had a discussion with Arsenal and the conclusion was the best thing for me was to leave the club, so now it’s up to my agent and the club to find something. I still have a contract there, one year plus a one-year option so let’s see what happens.”
Parrot moves on plus Neto an option
Tottenham are set to pocket a windfall of their own through young striker Troy Parrott, who was once billed as the next star striker at Spurs.
Romano has said: “Troy Parrott leaves Tottenham and joins AZ Alkmaar on deal worth around €8m fee. AZ re-invest money of Sugawara deal and they’re set to sign #THFC striker.”

Romano added: “Spurs are in regular contact with Pedro Neto’s agent. Spurs would be happy to try for him but only in normal conditions so the deal depends on the fee.”
The Portugal winger said back in October amid interest from bigger clubs: “I want to say that I am here and I will help everyone. I love the club and everybody here, I have always felt that it has given a lot to me.”
