England have booked a place in the final of Euro 2024 with a 2-1 win over the Netherlands in an enthralling semi-final meeting in Dortmund on Wednesday night.
Gareth Southgate's men were shocked early on by the orange army as Xavi Simons pounced on a mistake by Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice to fire home a sublime shot from distance. The Gunners man wasn't helped by an England defence who backed off the Netherlands man.
The Three Lions weren't losing for long as Harry Kane won a controversial penalty with the VAR gods looking kindly over England. The former Tottenham Hotspur man slotted home confidently past Mark Verbruggen.
Both nations looked cagey after the break with the fixture calling out for a moment of brilliance. That came courtesy of Chelsea midfilder Cole Palmer putting through Aston Villa talisman Ollie Watkins, whose classy finish claimed the win with seconds left to play. Here’s how LondonWorld rated the England players.

1. Jordan Pickford - 7
Reacted well to save a shot from Van Dijk in the second half. If there weren't four players more guilty of an error for the Simons goal, perhaps fingers would be pointed at the Everton man. | AFP via Getty Images

2. Marc Guehi - 7
All three centre-backs looked caught in the headlights for Xavi Simons' goal but steadied after that. Whether Guehi played better than Konsa did last match is a close call. Did well to recover from a slip to put his body in the way of Weghorst late on. | AFP via Getty Images

3. Kyle Walker - 7
Some moments of brilliance, some moments of, well, not so brilliance. Used his blistering pace to good effect defensively, an intervention around the 73rd minute mark fantastic, but was perhaps the most suspect when defending the Simons' goal. | Getty Images

4. John Stones - 7
Another sound, if not spectacular showing, all round from the Manchester CIty man. | Getty Images
