Hide AdGuehi approach
Crystal Palace are now said to have received an approach for key defender Marc Guehi. David Ornstein of The Athletic has reported that talks have begun, but Palace will likely to be asking for big money after the sale of Michael Olise earlier in the windoiow.
“Newcastle United have opened negotiations with Crystal Palace over a move to sign Marc Guehi,” Ornstein wrote. “He is high on the recruitment lists at a number of Europe’s biggest clubs — but Newcastle are the first to enter meaningful talks as they pursue what would be regarded a significant coup.“
Gallagher talks
Chelsea are said to have restarted talks with Conor Gallagher over a new deal as they look to prevent his exit. Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed a £34million deal for the midfielder, but he will only leave if a new contract cannot be agreed.
The England international has rejected early offers but fresh talks are said to have taken place. Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “New round of talks today between Chelsea, Conor Gallagher and his agents. Chelsea don’t want another Rüdiger case with important player leaving as free agent. Atlético Madrid insist on player’s decision by end of the weekend.”
