Arsenal preparing £30m transfer bid as departure close

All the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours as Mikel Arteta’s men prepare for their season opener on Friday night,

Arsenal are now tantalisingly close to kicking off the new Premier League season.

The Gunners face Crystal Palace on Friday night in the season opener and they will be desperate to kick off the new campaign with a bang.

Mikel Arteta’s men missed out on the top four by a whisker last term, and they will be aiming to go one better this time around.

New signings such as Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus should help, but we could still see further incomings and outgoings in the summer window.

And with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Gunners.

Tielemans bid incoming

Arsenal are expected to table a £30million offer for Leicester City star Youri Tielemans.

According to CBS Sports, via Football Talk, an offer is expected from the Gunners in the coming days, and they are expected to offer up £30million.

It’s unclear what Leicester would accept as a reasonable offer, but Tielemans is out of contract next year.

Brendan Rodgers recently said he does not want the uncertainty over Tielemans to continue over the coming weeks.

Mari update

There has been a fresh update in Pablo Mari’s situation.

The defender is expected to leave this summer to join newly promoted Serie A club Monza having fallen out of favour at Arsenal.

DiMarzio are now saying the deal is very close to being completed, but it will be a loan deal with an option to buy, rather than a permanent one.

Mari’s agents have been in Italy this week to discuss terms with Monza.

Patino set for loan move

Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino is set for a loan move.

The highly rated midfielder will get a taste of regular senior football in the coming campaign, with a loan deal that will see him join Championship club Blackpool.

Football Insider report Patino has been given the green light to undergo his medical with the Tangerines after tersms were agreed.
