Arsenal are looking at want-away Real Madrid star Eden Hazard according to reports in Spain as they draw up alternatives for their winter transfer targets.

Arsenal are in search of a forward who will deepen their attack and strengthen their Premier League title chase. Their first choice is Mykhailo Mudryk but Hazard on a short loan is an option being looked at - and quite attractive to the Arsenal technical team and board.

According to a report on Mediafoot, Shakhtar Donetsk are not playing ball and Hazard will likely be a cheaper short term option that gives the club a chance to prepare for a big summer while still being competitive in the second half this season.

Arsenal have surprised many with their blistering form in the Premier League and hold a five-point lead ahead of Manchester City with half the season played.

Reports suggest Mikel Arteta is a fan of Hazard and what he achieved at Chelsea.
