Bukayo Saka’s first half goal was enough to secure another victory in Europe for Arsenal despite Bodo/Glimt threatening to equalise for most of the second half.
In all truthfulness, It wasn’t a game that will live long in the memory of fans but the Gunners got the job done to make it three wins from three in this season’s Europa League.
They now sit top of group A in the Europa League just as they are in the Premier League going into the weekend’s game against Leeds United.
Arsenal manager Milkel Arteta will also be happy that the Europa League has not been a distraction as many thought at the start of the campaign, this Arsenal team just never stops and they have been sensational in performances and results in the last three months.
Playing on an artificial pitch on a cold night certainly affected the Gunners flow and even though Arsenal might feel that they were lucky to get away with all three points tonight, it’s a show of their new found form and character that they were able to hold on and get the win despite the pressure from Bodo/Glimt.
Bukayo Saka’s goal keeps their winning streak in the Europa League going- and they know that a win at home against PSV next match day will seal progression to the next round with games to spare.
