Arsenal ‘make decision’ over prime transfer target as Hector Bellerin attracts ‘fresh interest’

Arsenal have enjoyed a fine start to the season.

The Gunners have kicked off the new campaign with six points from their first two games, beating Crystal Palace and Leicester City.

Mikel Arteta’s men are answering expectation so far, and that expectation came from the more than £100million they spent in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal may not be done there, either, still searching for potential additions, and indeed still attempting to shift fringe players.

Tielemans latest

Arsenal are said to be prioritising exits this summer despite links with Youri Tielemans.

The Leicester City star has been heavily linked with Arsenal this summer, and they remain interested, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, he said: “Arsenal do want Tielemans, but they know they need to offload players before they can make a move.”

Bellerin interest

Barcelona are being heavily linked with a move for Arsenal star Hector Bellerin.

The full-back has been tipped to leave the Gunners this summer, and Barca are the latest club to be linked, backed to beat Real Betis to the chase.

Sport claim Barca like the idea of signing Bellerin because he has experience of playing in La Liga.

Not only that, but the defender came through the Barca academy before joining Arsenal’s youth setup.

That’s not the only report concerning Bellerin, however.

According to ABC Sevilla, via SportWitness, the full-back is still waiting for Real Betis, where he spent last season on loan.

The issue is that Betis are not in a position to pay a significant fee, which explains recent conversations Bellerin’s representatives had with Arsenal over his possible early release.

Betis may find the deal difficult to pull off financially, struggling to meet salary cap requirements.
