Mikel Arteta has been very active in the transfer window, having already added Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko to his squad.

Their form throughout pre-season and the opening day victory at Crystal Palace has put the Gunners in a strong position at the start of the campaign.

There were concerns over the bloated squad, but Lucas Torreira has just sealed his move to Galatasaray while Folarin Balogun scored on his debut for Reims this weekend.

Nuno Tavares also reminded all Arsenal fans why the club signed him with an impressive debut for Marseille in the French league.

So spaces are beginning to emerge for Arteta, who has not hidden his intentions to add to the squad before the transfer window closes.

Leicester are in a difficult place financially, and have just lost their dependable goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Building on their strong start to the season

The Gunners got their season off to a flyer with an impressive 2-0 win at Selhurst Park, which was the perfect start Arteta would have aimed for.

Now the challenge is to maintain the momentum and keep the burner on as they look, not only to return Champions League football to the Emirates, but also to try and win trophies.
