Arsenal leading the way to sign 21-year-old star who is currently at Euro 2024

Arsenal are leading the way to sign PSV star Johan Bakayoko this summer, according to reports in Belgium.
Bakayoko notched 14 goals and 14 assists in 48 games last season as PSV went on to win the Dutch title and has since attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

Hide AdAs per reports in Tuesday’s edition of Gazet van Antwerpen, a deal is ‘moving in the right direction’ with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta keen on bringing in an attacker who can seamlessly fit into his system.
Reports indicate that PSV will require €45 million to sanction Bakayoko’s transfer this summer. Currently, he is with the Belgium national team, and any potential deal is expected to occur after the Euros.
Meanwhile, a number of Arsenal players have started their pre-season early as they look to build on last season’s second-placed finish in the Premier League.
Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe, Jurrien Timber, Eddie Nketiah and Martin Odegaard are set to join Arteta on a Spain training camp with sporting director Edu Gaspar also expected to arrive in the coming days.
Arsenal have pre-season friendlies against Manchester United and Liverpool in the United States next month, before games with Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon in London.
