Arsenal are ‘interested’ in Bayern Munich ace Joshua Kimmich ahead of the next transfer window along with Liverpool and Barcelona, as reported by Spanish news outlet Marca. The Germany international, who can play in defence or midfield if needed, is being linked with an exit from Germany this summer and could end up in England if the rumours turn out to be true.

The 28-year-old has been on the books at the Allianz Arena since 2015 after joining his current club from RB Leipzig and has won the Bundesliga title in every season since his move. However, Bayern are currently being Borussia Dortmund in the table with just one game left of the campaign to play.

Midfielder an option

Chelsea’s Mason Mount is a potential midfield option for Arsenal, as per Sky Sports. The Gunners are looking for reinforcements in the middle of the park ahead of next term and will be weighing up who to move for, with West Ham’s Declan Rice believed to be their top target.

Mount, 24, could be a useful alternative for Arteta and is facing an uncertain long-term future at Stamford Bridge with his deal up in 2024. He has been with the Blues for his whole career to date and has scored 33 goals in his 195 appearances so far.
