As Arsenal are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table, the Gunners’ scouting network will be working tirelessly to find potential additions to help them cement their position.

One midfielder who Arsenal reportedly have in their crosshairs currently plays for Lazio and could be worth around £40 million. He also featured in the 2022 World Cup, scoring a solitary goal for his native Serbia.

Additionally, an update has been given on one of Arsenal’s key transfer targets. While a sale is entirely possible, the Gunners will likely have to pay a hefty fee to complete the deal.

Arsenal eyeing up Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Arsenal are the frontrunners to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Corriere dello Sport. However, while the Gunners’ interest has been confirmed, there have been no reports of an official bid being submitted.

Milinkovic-Savic’s contract at Lazio expires in the summer of 2024, meaning Lazio could look to cash in on him rather than risk losing him on a free. He’s had a very impressive season for Le Aquile so far, with three goals and seven assists in 14 appearances.

Gunners could be required to pay £85 million for young winger

Mykhailo Mudryk has been a target of Arsenal’s for some time now. While talks are reportedly ongoing between the two clubs (according to Fabrizio Romano in a post on Twitter), Arsenal could be made to pay an astronomical fee of around £85 million to secure his services (per The Sun).

Reportedly, the Gunners have already seen a bid for the Ukrainian wonderkid rejected - it was thought to have been around £52 million. The Sun reported that Mudryk himself is keen on joining the Gunners - however, it appears clear that a move will not come to fruition without a massive transfer fee. If Arsenal do pay the reported £85 million price tag, it would make Mudryk the fifth most expensive signing in Premier League history.
