Arsenal are back in action on Boxing Day evening as they face London rivals West Ham United.

The Gunners have been on the sidelines for more than a month, at least as far as competitive action is concerned, and they will be keen to hit the ground running as they look to build on a fine start to the campaign. Though, they must attempt to do so without star striker Gabriel Jesus, who will miss the next couple of months through injury.

The January transfer window may bring a remedy for injury issues, and with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Tielemans latest

Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on Arsenal’s ongoing interest in Leicester City star Your Tielemans ahead of the window opening.

He told GiveMeSport: “Tielemans has always been on the list at Arsenal, he has always been appreciated. They always had his name on their list.

“At the moment, there are no conversations with Leicester, but I think this is one to watch because, in the summer, Arsenal arrived in the final days to try to approach Leicester for Tielemans, then they did the same with Aston Villa for Douglas Luiz.”

Arsenal have been tipped as one of the ‘best placed clubs’ to land Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix in the summer window.

Felix is available having fallen out with Atletico boss Diego Simeone, but having arrived at the Spanish club on a huge fee, it should come as no surprise that Atletico want to make th emajority of their money back, especially with Felix only 23 years of age.

According to Diario AS, Arsenal and Manchester United are the best placed clubs to pull off a deal, but Atletico are demanding a whopping £88million. Arsenal seem unlikely to pay that much in January. There may, however, be case for a loan deal with a significant loan fee.
