Tottenham will have to find a swift response to their FA Cup exit without manager Antonio Conte who is still not back in London.

His assistant Cristian Stellini had revealed Antonio would be back this week but not even the crushing exit from the FA Cup to Championship side Sheffield United has been enough to get him out of Turin.

Tottenham last won a major trophy in 2008 and missed an opportunity to progress to the last eight of this season’s FA Cup at Bramall Lane where they desrvedly lost 1-0.

They will have to win the Champions League if they are to lift a trophy this season with north London rivals Arsenal looking  unstoppable at the minute.

Some fans of the club are questioning why the Italian boss has not rushed back to prepare the team for the game against Wolves even though they know he’s been recovering from removing his gallbladder last month.

But Stellini says his boss is desperate to return to work with the only thing stopping him being the medical department.

Tottenham assistant manager Cristian Stellini told reporters ahead of the visit to the Molineux: “This is a question for the medical department because they decided the time schedule was one month.

“One month after the surgery stops on Saturday and they ask Antonio to come back Sunday so this is a question for the medical department.”

Wolves have not beaten Tottenham at home since 2010 and have only managed two draws in their last six home games against Spurs.

Tottenham have been good in the league and will look to strengthen their grip of top four but they have lost all their last three away visits in all competitions and be wary of a Spurs side who can beat Chelsea and lose to Sheffield United with in the same week.
