It’s been a hectic transfer window for Arsenal so far and there are now just four days remaining to get any final deals over the line.

The Gunners missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk to London rivals Chelsea but acted quickly to snap up Leandro Trossard from Brighton soon after. Now, reports suggest they could be going back to the south coast in a bid to land highly rated midfielder Moises Caicedo in the coming days. Central midfield is clearly an area where Mikel Arteta wants to improve his squad and the Ecuadorian is far from the only high profile player rumoured to be on Arsenal’s radar.

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has no intentions of entering negotiations with Real Madrid has he has ‘given Arsenal his word’ that he will join them in the summer. The England international has long been linked with a move away from the Hammers but this season it is looking increasingly likely due to the club’s struggles against relegation in the Premier League and the fact that the 24-year old has only 18 months remaining on his current deal.

Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manachester United are just some of the other Premier League sides to have previously been linked with Rice along with Arsenal, Real Madrid and PSG. Despite the report from Spain, which seems to suggest a move to the Emirates is almost certain, there has yet to be any formal interest declared in Rice and the player has not spoken publicly about his future. The Gunners are currently considered the front runners for his signature but it’s unclear how their reported pursuit of Caicedo will impact any future deal for Rice.

Monaco see €8 million ‘rejected’ for Arsenal midfielder

According to French publication Footmercato, Monaco have had a €8 million bid for midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga rejected. It is claimed that the Ligue 1 side are actively seeking to strengthen in this window with Benoît Badiashile and Willem Geubbels amongst the players who could be leaving.

However, the Gunners’ 23-year old Belgian won’t be leaving for the initial bid. That doesn’t mean that a deal cannot be struck in the final days of the window especially if the North London side do bring in another central midfielder which would push Lokonga down the pecking order.
