Women’s Euro Final 2022: The best places in London to watch the Lionesses on July 31

After a triumphant 4-0 win over Sweden, England have made it through to the UEFA EURO final at Wembley. If you don’t have a ticket, here are some of the best places to watch,

After a dazzling performance in the Euros, England have made it through to the final, which will be played at Wembley Stadium this Sunday, July 31 at 5pm.

A 4-0 win against Sweden at Bramall Lane on Tuesday cemented the Lionesses’ place at Wembley, in front of a record-breaking crowd of 28,624.

Finally, all eyes are on the women’s game, with higher attendance and more viewers this tournament than any other Women’s Euros.

If you don’t have tickets to the final, we’ve got you covered. Here are some of London’s top spots to watch the game.

Wembley

Tickets for Wembley are now sold out, but it’s worth keeping an eye on the Ticketing - UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 Twitter feed. Additional tickets went on sale this morning, and they’ll be posting if more become available before the game.

Central

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is hosting a free screening for up to 7,000 Lionesses fans this Sunday, making it the largest TV showing in London.

The event is standing only, with accessible viewing space for wheelchairs.

Spots will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, although viewers are encouraged to register their interest online.

As well as showing the game, the UEFA Fan Party also includes a pop-up football pitch, live music, interactive football-themed activities and food and drink stands.

The site will open to the public at 11am, before kick-off at 5pm.

Eccleston Yards

Watch the Lionesses this Sunday from the comfort of a deckchair in Eccleston Yards’ pretty Belgravia courtyard.

Named after the 90s Colombian footballing legend, this brand new, inclusive sports bar opened on July 7.

Unfortunately, it was a day after the Euros started, but Valderrama’s has made up for it by showing all 30 other games.

Inside, you’ll find murals, paintings and vintage goalie shirts, as well as —crucially— high spec screens and projectors so you can watch the games from wherever you’re seated.

There’s an outdoor terrace and a food menu, designed by chef (and owner) James Cochran.

The Colonel Fawcett, Camden

Enjoy the final at this independent, 19th century gastropub in Camden, which also hosts music, comedy and club nights.

It serves 16 draught beer lines and three real ales, as well as almost 150 different types of gin. There’s food too, and two gardens.

Truman’s Social Club

This cavernous craft brewery has shown all the Euros fixtures this summer across its 18-foot HD protector and HD plasma screens.

Truman’s have up to 20 beers to choose from, including its core range, limited editions and guest beers from other breweries.

Booking for the final is recommended.

St James of Bermondsey

This traditional London pub in Bermondsey has screened all 31 games this July. It has a cosy beer garden and serves craft beer, gin and cocktails, as well as food.

The Clapham North

There’s a designated sports screening space in this split-level Clapham watering hole, which will be screening the final. Book in advance on its website.

Toca Social, Greenwich

If you’re looking for somewhere more secluded to watch the games, you can book a private box for up to 20 friends (plus a 14-pint keg of Birra Moretti) at this interactive football and dining establishment.

You can have food and drinks delivered to your box – and best of all, when the game is finished, you can have the space to play one of Toca’s four football-themed games.

East

Boxpark Shoreditch, Wembley and Croydon

Actually, all three Boxparks will be screening the Euros.

There are three ticket options: one at £10 (including a drink) and £20 (with two drinks) which both guarantee entry, and a free ticket option, which does not. Early arrival is advised.

Aiming to “capture the energy that the tournament will create across the country and celebrate the beautiful game”, Boxpark has also laid on live performances, DJ sets and a host in between the games throughout the tournament.

The Stag’s Head, Hoxton

The Stag’s Head has teamed up with Baller FC —that stands for “Baller Friends Collective”— to provide friendly, inclusive screenings of all 31 games, which are open to football veterans and newbies alike.

Baller FC has arranged a whole calendar of events for the tournament, including parties, BBQs, fanzines, footy fashion events and film screenings.

The games are all free to watch – Baller FC just asks that attendees check out their “Rules of the Game” first, which help ensure that this is a safe, welcoming space for everyone.

Bar Kick, Shoreditch

Bar Kick, the “home of live sport in Shoreditch”, is showing the final across its 12 4k screens. Book in advance.

It sells craft beer, cocktails, dirty burgers and fried chicken – and when the game is done, you can challenge your friends to a game of table football.

West

The Lord Nelson, Brentford

Nearby Brentford Stadium has hosted some of the Euros games. If you want to soak up some of the atmosphere, The Lord Nelson is a good shout.

This recently refurbished pub is showing all the games, and has a lovely (heated and covered) beer garden.

Westwood Sports Pub and Kitchen

This sports pub near Shepherd’s Bush is packed with screens - and the Euros has taken priority this July.

Besides drinks, there are burgers, small plates, pizzas and bar snacks on the menu.
