Brits are preparing for another Bank Holiday, just a week after many enjoyed a four day weekend as part of the Easter bank holiday.

It will again be a chance for many up and down the country to have a slightly longer weekend.

Despite it being May when the bank holiday occurs, it will only be the third one of the year.

It will be a four-day weekend, much like Easter, to celebrate the Queen’s 70 year reign as the Queen of England.

“The start of this period is most likely to be dry with variable clouds and some clear and sunny spells. Frosty mornings possible after colder nights for inland and rural areas.

“Most areas remain dry, but showers are possible in the north, and far south. Likely to be breezy in the southwest, and the south at times. The start of May could turn unsettled with the risk of some cooler air arriving from the north.

“Most places remain dry, but a few showers are likely at times particularly for the north and east, where they could be heavy. Winds generally light with the greatest chance of strong winds probably along the east coast. Temperatures near to or slightly below normal.”
