In the last 14 months, the band have released six singles and an EP of live recording from their back catalogue.

Of those, they have had two tracks crowned as BBC Introducing Suffolks’ ‘Track Of The Week’, repeat support from Janice Long (formerly Top of the Pops presenter) on BBC Wales across multiple releases, and repeated airplay on Planet Rock with Wyatt Wendels, and repeated airplay on Kerrang! Radio from Johnny Doom.

On Top of this, with their last release, ‘Everything From Last Night’, the band received their first-ever Radio X plays from non-other than John Kennedy, declaring it ‘an instant hit’.

At the same time the band had a track played on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, and have also received constant support from outlets like Amazing Radio, XS Manchester and Islington Radio.

Over the past year, the band have gone from strength to strength and, following their run of successes, are now poised to drop their Halloween hit, ‘You Lost Yourself’.

On the single, frontman Ollie said: "You Lost Yourself is all about those awful times when someone you care for becomes someone that they’re not in front of your eyes.

“We all go through change as people. We all develop and move on, but sometimes that change isn’t good, and sometimes it doesn’t represent who you truly are inside.

“You get lost in money, work, new friends, new partners, and new experiences, and they consume you, and the people who have known you the longest, who really know who you are, are just left watching you disappear.

“It’s about this idea of drastic personality change, that’s what I focused on, but the undercurrent of the whole song is just about that great sense of loss that we are left with when this happens.”

He added: “The development of ‘You Lost Yourself’ was quite a fluid one, though, like a few of our other songs, it underwent a slight change in rhythm that really served the lead guitar line, later written by Julien.”

The band are making a name for themselves, and they are getting that name out there.

A relentless band oozing energy and talent, The Great Leslie have over 132k YouTube views and over 70k Spotify streams.

There’s little evidence of slowing down from a band who are looking to push on in the post-pandemic music scene.
