A man has been rushed to hospital after being injured by falling debris.

The incident occurred just after 12pm on Waterloo Road, where police and ambulance crews attended the scene.

The man has been taken to hospital and his condition is not yet known.

Road closures are in place around the location.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 12.03pm today to reports of a person injured by falling debris on Waterloo Road, SE1.

"We sent a number of resources to the scene.

"A man was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital as a priority."

This comes as the London Fire Brigade have declared a major incident in response to the volume of 999 calls being taken about Storm Eunice related incidents.
