Police have a launched an appeal following a reported rape in Shoreditch.

The Met has issued an image of a man officers would like to speak to following the incident on the night of Friday, December 9 into the early hours of Saturday, December 10.

The victim was on Curtain Road, and witnesses might have seen her with a man in Great Eastern Street, Hoxton Square, Pitfield Street or Old Street.

Detective Constable Thomas Smalley, the investigating officer, said: “We are issuing this image in the hope that someone will recognise this man and provide his details to police or remember seeing him on the night. If you can help, please get in contact immediately.”
