The Shard and Battersea Power Station have been listed in the 10 most important buildings you should know about.

The study by the organisation behind Tomorrow Building World Congress also highlights the purpose of these buildings and infrastructures categorising them under areas such as economic, social compromise, eco, architecture, and more to know the beneficial impact they have on society.
The analysis of the top 10 most popular buildings and infrastructure over the past fifty years delved into Instagram data and Google search volumes. The methodology involved scoring each structure a rating between 1 - 10 across these data points, with an average score determining the final ranking by looking at monthly Google searches and their Instagram popularity.
Battersea Power Station: Battersea Power Station is in seventh position with an overall total score of 2.71 out of ten. The newly refurbished station has given the area an economic and residential boost. Battersea Power Station has been tagged 189,670 times on Instagram, and it's Googled an average of 673,000 times every month!

With an overall total score of 2.36 out of ten, 450,000 monthly Google searches, and 883,622 Instagram hashtags, The Shard is an icon of the city transforming its skyline but more importantly boosting the economy and revitalising The London Bridge area.
