Two thirds of Londers have sex weekly, compared to just over half of the country as a whole. That’s according to a survey by Hims & Hers.

The consumer-first health and wellness platform surveyed more than 3,500 Brits about their sex lives, asking about behaviours, trends, misconceptions, fears, fantasies and realities.

According to its Let’s Talk About Sex: The 2023 UK Report, Londoners are the friskiest out there.

The survey found that 67% have sex weekly or more compared to the UK average of 55%.

It found that 38% of Londoners believe the cost-of-living crisis has impacted their sex lives.

Across the country, 24% said their libido has decreased during the crisis and the same percentage said their sex life has been impacted by their mental health.

The survey also asked about porngraphy, and found that 82% have watched porn alone - more than in any other region. 65% have watched with a partner.

More than half of respondents (55%) said they have experienced porn anxiety where it has changed their perceptions of sex. This level was higher among Londoners than anywhere else in the country.

Pavlo Maherovsky, co-general manager of Hims & Hers in the UK, said: “Delving deeper into the information available about sex, it became clear that there’s a need for a better source of truth in the UK - for example, we found a quarter of people are still relying on porn as their primary source of sex education.

“Our platform facilitates a place for people to feel empowered to talk about their health and wellness challenges.

“This report is designed to not only educate people about the realities of sex today, but enable them to have more control and confidence when it comes to their sex life.”
