Remembrance Sunday: What road closures are there in London today?

Roads in Westminster have been closed during the national Remembrance Sunday events.
Various roads in central London have been shut to traffic during the national service at the Cenotaph today (Sunday, November 13).

Hide AdIt comes as royals, politicians and faith leaders gather to mark the first Remembrance Sunday after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September.
Leaders including prime minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Keir Starmer laid wreaths.
The capital’s Met Police has closed several roads in the area, some of which remain shut until later today.
A force spokesperson said: As part of our policing operation during the Remembrance Service events, the roads within the green and orange areas are closed to all vehicles.

Hide Ad“Earlier road closures in the red and blue areas have now been lifted.”
Roads highlighted in the green zone were closed at 3am this morning and will reopen at 3pm this afternoon.
The green zone which includes Whitehall, Parliament Bridge and Millbank -
Orange areas were closed at 8am today and are set to reopen at 3pm.

Hide AdThe zone includes roads around Buckingham Palace, Westminster, St James’s Park and the Mall.
During these periods, no vehicles, including delivery vehicles, will be allowed to move within the restricted zones.
Bicycles are to be walked within the restricted zones.
Pedestrians can enter areas, but should expect to be searched by police if they wish to enter Whitehall.
