Television presenter Stacey Dooley announces new UK tour following birth of daughter Minnie

Stacey Dooley is set to return to her live UK show this summer following the end of her maternity leave with daughter Minnie.

Stacey Dooley will return to touring the UK later this year after the end of her maternity leave.

The television presenter, 35, from Luton, gave birth to her daughter Minnie with partner Kevin Clifton, 40, in January.

With one of the most recognisable faces on British television because of her journalistic programming, Stacey is set to return to her tour.

Following sold out shows in 2020, ‘In Conversation with Stacey Dooley’ will see 13 dates across the UK.

The MBE awarded presenter will begin her tour on 1st June at Southend’s Palace Theatre with the tour coming to an end on 22nd June in Edinburgh’s Queen Hall.

‘In Conversation with Stacey Dooley’ was rescheduled from February to June following the announcement of the television presenter’s pregnancy last year.

Excited to be going back on the road, Stacey said: “I’m delighted to be going back out on the road! So much has happened since my last tour- professionally and personally. I honestly can’t wait to see you all in person. What a treat!

“These brand-new live shows have completely fresh content, never seen before. I’ll be sharing behind the scenes stories and clips from some of my more recent documentaries, as well as exploring Britain’s mental health crisis based on the findings of my latest book, Are You Really OK?

Stacey Dooley’s ‘In Conversation with Stacey Dooley’ will focus on a live show that complements her latest book ‘Are You Really OK? Understanding Britain’s Mental Health Emergency’.

The book from the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 winner explores the mental health crisis people are facing in Britain and the impact this has on young people.

Both the tour and the book have been inspired by Stacey’s two popular BBC documentaries that explore mental health.

During the live show the television journalist will open up the conversation around mental health in young people and work to challenge the stigma and stereotypes around it.

Stacey Dooley has worked in collaboration with mental health experts and charities to responsibly share stories of young people in the UK directly impacted by mental health issues.

She will also focus on related broader topics that have been featured in her documentaries, including poverty, addiction, identity and the pressures of social media.

The presenter will look back on stand-out moments from her career which includes over 90 documentaries in 15 years.

Audiences at the live shows will also get to ask Stacey questions during a thought-provoking and informative evening.

Tickets start at £25 with some venues already starting to run low on seats.

The show runs for 110 minutes and includes a 20 minute interval.
