In Pictures: The Queen’s most memorable London visits over the years

To pay tribute to her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, LondonWorld has gathered a selection of photos of her visits to different charities and organisations in the capital throughout the years.

The Queen, who was crowned in 1953, was both the longest-lived British monarch and the longest-reigning British monarch, reigning queen and female head of state in the world.

She continued to fulfil her public duties right up until her final days.

In mid-April, she Zoomed with staff and patients at Royal London Hospital and the following month she officially opened the new Elizabeth line.

In June, an estimated 10 million people across the UK took part in local street parties and celebrations to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

At the time of her death support for the monarchy in the United Kingdom remained consistently high, as did her personal popularity.

She continued to fulfil her public duties right up until her final days.
