Northern line: Severe delays on London Underground line after fire at Archway station

A London Underground line is part suspended due to a fire on the tracks this morning (Wednesday, March 8).

There is no service on the Northern line between Camden Town and High Barnet and severe delays on the rest of the line.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade (LFB) said firefighters were called at 8.31am to “report of pots smouldering by the track at Archway Underground Station.”

Crews from Kentish Town, Islington, and Holloway fire stations were sent to investigate and the station was temporarily closed.

The incident was over by 09.35am.

Transport for London (TfL) said London underground tickets will be accepted on local buses.
