Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022: London pubs that are hosting celebrations and events over bank holiday weekend

On February 6 2022, Queen Elizabeth II became the longest-serving British monarch ever, completing 70 years on the throne.

To mark her Platinum Jubilee, those in the UK are given a four-day bank holiday weekend from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5.

Luckily for those wishing to celebrate with a drink, the government announced that pubs in England and Wales can extend their closing time to 1am on June 2, 3 and 4 in honour of Her Majesty.

We put together a list of London pubs that are hosting festive events to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee - including some family friendly events.

The King & Queen, Caterham

34 High St, Caterham CR3 5UA Friday June 3 to Sunday June 5

The King & Queen will be hosting a three-day beer festival, from Friday to Sunday, along with a BBQ for visitors to enjoy some food in the garden - and hopefully in the sun!

There will also be live music, face painting and childrens entertainment in the car park from 1pm to 7pm each day.

St Christopher’s Pub, Southwark

121 Borough High Street, SE1 1NP Thursday June 2 to Sunday June 5

This central spot has live music and drink deals to celebrate the four-day weekend.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday their is live music from 8:30pm, and on the Sunday, the live music starts at 11pm.

You can also enjoy 2 for 1 cocktails until 9pm - and other happy hour deals.

Darcie & May Green, Paddington

Grand Union Canal, Sheldon Square, Central W2 6DS Thursday June 2

This popular Australian brunch restaurant is located on Sheldon Square, inside a canal boat filled with pop art.

Serving both food and drink, this funky venue is a great spot to watch the fly-past of the Royal Air Force from the canal at 1pm on Thursday, June 2.

Roof East, Stratford

On Friday, June 3 Roof East are hosting a rooftop Jubilee jaunt.

The ticket, which costs £28pp, includes three drinks and food from the Naughty Burger menu.

There is also an alcohol free option for just£20 per person.

There will be street-party style picnic benches, lots of cakes, festive bunting, corgis and entertainment from Drag Queens Kyran Thrax and Polka Dot.

Belushi

Five London locations Wednesday June 1 to Sunday June 5

You can expect live entertainment and dancing all night long whether you’re in Belushi Hammersmith, Camden, Greenwich, London Bridge or Shepherd’s Bush.

In honour of the big bank holiday weekend, they will be serving beer and cocktail jugs, burgers, bar snacks and international beers and spirits.

You can also book a Bottomless Gin Afternoon Tea for £35 per person. You can pick your choice of gin, your choice of tonic and enjoy drinking as much as you can for 90 minutes.

The Turk’s Head, Twickenham

The Turk’s Head will be offering a full four days of fun to celebrate the long weekend.

On Thursday, there will be a BBQ in the pub’s recently refurbed garden and at 9pm, there will be a singalong in the main bar with song sheets.

On Friday, there will also be a BBQ alongside a hog roast in the beer garden - with live music from Sugar T and The Swells.

Saturday will host an outdoor afternoon tea with limited spaces, a Platinum Party in the Park on the Big Screens and live music from a secret guest.

Finally, Sunday will see a big Jubilee lunch with live music from Roland Rock and The All Beats.

Silent Sounds Boat Party, River Thames

On Friday, June 3 you can set off down the River Thames in a two-storey party boat for a night of drinking and dancing.

The Dutch Master offers a silent disco style event, where each guest can choose between three DJs on their headphones.

The DJs play everything from House to Hip Hop, pop to rock and everything in between.

The Plough Inn, Ealing

297 Northfield Ave, London W5 4XB Wednesday June 1 to Saturday June 4

The Plough Inn will be hosting live performances over the Jubilee weekend, as well as serving a range of never seen before beers - courtesy of Meantime Brewing Company.

The Vox Beatles take to the stage on Wednesday, Carnaby Army on Thursday, The White Duke on Friday and to finish off, Billy Philips on Saturday.
