Alright clever clogs! A new study has revealed that Londoners are the cleverest people in the country (as if we didn’t already know.)
World of Card Games used data from the Nobel Prize Organization, Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, and the UK Office for National Statistics determine the UK's smartest counties.

Hide AdNaturally, Greater London came top of the class with an overall ‘braininess’ score of 93.75 out of 100 - beating the boffins in Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
The data found the capital has received 952 individual Nobel Prize nominations and 48 university nominations.
It also showed that 30.7% of students in London received A+ or higher in their A-levels in 2024. And a whopping 74.2% of Londoners have qualifications graded Level 4 or above.
Oxfordshire came in second with an overall intelligence score of 87.5, while Cambridgeshire (my home county) came in third with a score of 84.43.

Hide AdThey are of course home to the prestigious Oxbridge universities, which rank among the best in the world.
