East Dulwich accident: Schoolgirl, 12, taken to hospital after tipper truck crash by station

A 12-year-old schoolgirl has been rushed to hospital after being hit in a crash with a tipper truck.

Hide AdThe lorry was driving past East Dulwich Station, Southwark, around 4.23pm when the accident happened.
Police and the London Ambulance Service found the girl injured.
She was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

Hide AdPolice said her condition has been assessed as “non life-threatening”.
Onlookers told LondonWorld the girl went to nearby school.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
The road was closed outside East Dulwich station on Grove Vale - which connects Dog Kennel Hill and Lordship Lane - for more than an hour.
A large police cordon - spanning around 30metres - closed off the scene, with debris scattered around the road.
Dozens of buses were delayed and had to reroute.
